Billy Watson called me in late 2024 and said, “Dude, I’m selling the sites. The sites he was referring to are ManoJob, TheDickSuckers, and MrPOV. I was brought in to edit for Billy’s sites in August of 2007. Mind you, he was also shooting for Dogfart, so his plate was pretty full. I returned to cutting for Billy in December 2023, and things went well for a year. I knew things were fishy when he sold his vast record collection and his classic car. Billy was/is an Arizona guy but lived in L.A, for obvious reasons: shooting smut and more smut.
In the back of my head, I was thinking that his days of ownership and, subsequently, shooting porn, were over. It was the end of an era, and thankfully, he put in a good word for me to the new owners. I was apprehensive and nervous about the possibility of editing for a new batch of individuals. Would they nit-pick and microanage? Not that Billy really did, but I was grateful that he trusted my work and would offer me encouragement and places to make small tweaks. No biggie.
I got on the phone with their content manager, and we discussed editing software used (Adobe Premiere at that time), export settings, and other tech talk that can get mundane and boring. I was able to text back and forth with the new owners, and they asked what I’d like in compensation. I told them $300 a scene, a daily DoorDash limit, and the ability to eat Ava Davis’ ass like it’s Thanksgiving Dinner. Ava is a sweetheart, and I think she’d find that funny. Give her a follow
In all seriousness, I gave them a number, and they agreed. They eventually gave me the tasks of running both YouTube channels: Idealgasm and Billy Watson. I like to think I’m growing with them and look forward to contributing in more ways than just editing.
We shall see.
