The Shoot House Invasion–2005

It was April 2005, and Boogie Nights 4.0 was running wild; that’s the name of the home Chico Wang used as a living quarters and shoot location. I started with Chico in 2003, and his Boogie Nights 2.0 was somewhere up in the hills. Anyways, this current location near Topanga Canyon is where we shot my scenes and video for Diabolic Video. Chico rarely shot for Anabolic, and perhaps Oral Consumption 7 was a big reason why. One early morning, I arrived at the house to pick up Chico for a quick drive to the offices that Diabolic and Anabolic shared. The owners were friends a nd business partners at the time. Chico was in the other room while I was in the den watching Platoon. Suddenly, two Hispanic males, with their handguns already drawn, walked into the den and ordered me to the floor. They got Chico from the other room and had him open his safe, where there was some cash and mini DV tapes of scenes ready for post-production. They proceeded to tie my hands behind my back and place a blanket over my Herculean-like body. I was sure that a bullet would enter my cranium and I’d soon be meeting Moe, Larry, Curly, and the cafeteria lady from middle school who hated that I asked for seconds.

Chico , in a gutsy manner, asked that they not take the mini Dv tapes full of content. They did, however, take my car keys, wallet, televisions from all over the house, computers, and anything worth a few bucks. They must have been there for about 30 minutes before finally leaving. Chico and I immediately notified law enforcement, but here’s the thing: we shot so many people there that fingerprints would yield useless results.

Chico had many enemies during his tenure as a porn director. I have my own thoughts as to who was behind the home invasion. I hope karma bit them in the ass.
